Best Bedwetting Alarms

Chummie

Chummie

There are various alarms from this brand. Several families I have worked with have used this alarm with fairly good success. This alarm is easily purchased off the internet and like the other alarms uses a moisture sensor with a small pad that is inserted into the underwear. There are various alarms to help the child wake up. The alarm is clipped on the pajama or around the arm with a band.

Gogo Band

Gogo Band

The Gogo Band is an innovative device for bedwetting that predicts bedwetting before it happens. A biometric device on the arm is worn for several weeks monitoring the child’s biometrics during sleep. The biometric device helps to create a predictive algorithm with the use of a bedwetting pad. After a few weeks the device is able to predict the bedwetting based on the biometrics and helps to wake your child with an alarm at night. Because of the advanced technology, it comes with a high price and subscription. In addition, it does not appear to be able to be reprogrammed to be used in another child. Bummer…

Wet-Stop 3

Wet-Stop 3

This is a tried and true bedwetting alarm method that is affordable and easy to use. The moisture sensor is clipped onto the underwear and the alarm is attached either with an arm band or clips onto the pajamas. An audible or vibrating alarm is available. But there is only one audible alarm with this device. Having varying alarms for some children can be helpful to prevent them from getting used to only one.
It’s a good start when it comes to bedwetting alarms, especially if you’re not sure about making the commitment into using them.

Potty Training Timer Watch

Potty Training Timer Watch

This potty watch is another inexpensive find through Amazon that younger kids typically find easy to use. There is a pink version with unicorns and a blue band with dinosaurs. The band is adjustable, but can be difficult for young hands to put on and off. The timer can be set for every 30, 60, 90 minutes or 2 or 3 hours. But it has to be turned off at night and charged every 3 days or so. It is water resistant to splashes, but not to pools or accidental drops into the sink. The timer alerts with lights and music, but there is not a vibrating option for kids at school where an audible alarm can be distracting.

WobL- World’s Smallest Reminder Watch

WobL- World’s Smallest Reminder Watch

The Wobl watch is one of the original “potty watches”. Its main purpose is to provide vibrating and audible reminders as well as tell time. The original watch has a pretty durable cloth band that is comfortable and easy for kids to use. The newest version, Wobl + is water resistant. However, with the newest watch the band is a bit floppy and seems that it could easily rip over time. Both versions are easy to program 8 timers daily. Several families where the watch malfunctioned or the band broke, were able to get a replacement from the company. Overall, the Wobl and Wobl + is an inexpensive watch that is a better bet for younger kids that need reminders.

Garmin Vívofit Jr.

Garmin Vívofit Jr.

The Garmin Vivofit family of watches (version 1 thru 3) is an investment, but provides a lot of extras in addition to a basic alarm to help remind your kid to use the bathroom. There are several benefits over some less expensive watches. The first one is the ability...

OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty

OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty

OXO makes well made products that are practical, well priced and great design. This toilet seat for kids that are potty training can be used regularly and also be used as a portable toilet seat. It is sturdy and stable on a regular toilet when the legs are locked in position. Using disposable bags inserted into the flexible flaps, it can be used on the go. If you’re looking for an all-in-one potty training seat, this is the one!

Summer Infant My Size Potty Toilet Insert

Summer Infant My Size Potty Toilet Insert

Some kids are afraid to use a regular sized toilet while potty training. The Summer Infant My Size Toilet is a great alternative to a toilet seat insert for those kids. It looks just like Mom and Dad’s toilet, but a perfect size for the little ones. The benefit of using a small toilet that is low to the ground allows small kids to feel supported. This allows them to relax their pelvic floor properly and prevents any bad toileting habits from being learned. For children with problems like pelvic floor dysfunction or VUR (Vesicoureteral reflux), proper toileting is important.

Mayfair Next Step Toilet Seat

Mayfair Next Step Toilet Seat

For little ones who are toilet training or need a little more support on the toilet and parents who want a clutter free alternative to a toilet training seat, this is perfect! It’s a pretty easy install on most toilets. It’s even a bit safer to use than other toilet seat inserts that can wobble on the toilet. Used with a foot stool, your kid is geared up for successful toilet training.

Live Infinitely 32 oz. Fruit Infuser

Live Infinitely 32 oz. Fruit Infuser

Infused water can make even picky kids like to drink their water. This 32 oz infuser water bottle by Live Infinitely is a nice alternative to a regular water bottle. It has times marked so your child can reach their water goals throughout the day. The infuser allows for the water to have some taste without added sugar, making water more interesting for those kids who don’t like plain water. I especially like having various frozen fruits available for kids to choose from. This version also includes a bottle “cozy” to keep the water cool.

Takeya Kids Insulated Water Bottle

Takeya Kids Insulated Water Bottle

The Takeya 14 oz steel insulated water bottle is the newest addition to my kids’ water bottle collection. With summer coming, my kids have wanted to have their water to stay cold. This insulated steel water bottle does not leak and keeps their water cold. Unlike other plastic water bottles, it is odorless. It also has a nice removable rubber bottom and powder coating in multiple colors that has taken a beating but not showing its age. There are larger Takeya steel water bottles for bigger kids as well.

CamelBak Eddy Kids BPA Free Water Bottle

CamelBak Eddy Kids BPA Free Water Bottle

Camelbak is a tried and true brand for kids’ water bottles. The Eddy water bottle is an extremely durable kids’ version of the classic Camelbak. It only holds 12 oz, so downside is that your little one will likely have to refill throughout the day. There are literally a gazillion designs available with easy to clean parts. The company also provides replacement parts at little to no cost (depending on the defect). This has allowed my kids to use their Camelbak bottles for years now!
